BATTLE OF VINEGAR HILL BICENTENARY 2004

On March 7th several hundred re-enactors and enthusiastic volunteers marched out onto a field in front of several thousand spectators to retell the story of an almost forgotten part of Australian history. This was the story of the Battle of Vinegar Hill which took place 200 years before.
This by far has been one of the most organised and impressive re-enactments held in Australia to date and has set a standard for all future events of this type. I'm sure we will see more events of this type and magnitude by the people from HISTORICA in the future.
It was an absolute pleasure being a part of this occasion
