History

The basement is part of the
Donkey Wheel House, formerly
the headquarters of the Melbourne
Tramways and Omnibus Company.
The building is constructed in red brick
Gothic Revival style and dates from 1891
when cable trams were in use in Melbourne.

The site is also reportedly inhabited
by several ghosts.
